Gift Box Cake

Gift Box Cake

So I got this order in, asking for a pink and white cake, they didn't care how it would look nor what was on it, as long as it was pink and white. So here is a very mom like kind of cake
Everything was made by hand and I must have taken me the longest to make.
I did make a few mistakes, there are things I should've done but now I know FOR SURE to wait and be patient to complete this cake.
They enjoyed it very much and I'm so glad they did :)

St. Patrick's Day ! ♣

Happy St. Patty's Day ♧
This very holiday is coming soon! And yes we don't have huge parties for it like other holidays, but that doesn't stop me from baking goodies for the family and for people who have little get together's.
Cakepops♡
Here I've made some really simple cakepops.
This is what you'll need;
Cakepop balls
Green chocolate melts
White chocolate melts
lollipop sticks
Green sugar sprinkles
gold sprinkles
piping bag (to pipe a clover)
not much needed, not much time needed either. Easy for a beginner.
All products can be found at a Michael's, Joann's , Wal-Mart or cake store near by.
For the cake balls super easy! You can use you're favorite cake recipes, bake and cool. Then you crumble the entire cake into a bowl. Add buttercream/frosting , add a little at a time it should be able to form a ball. Roll out and put in the refrigerator to chill or over night, in the freezer, in a container. Dip sticks into melted chocolate then into ball. From there you dip ball into chocolate,  if adding sprinkles do it as soon as possible,  it might harden.
Mini Cupcakes!
I've used my favorite white cake recipe and dyed it different colors; pink, purple, green, blue and yellow. Topped with a vanilla buttercream and topped with fondant decorations.

Have a
Happy St. Patrick's Day!♧

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentines Day.

Valentines day the most crazy holiday for yummy treats! And for this year I've made cupcakes, cakepops , cookies and chocolate treats.
The chocolate's you see above are two different types; chocolate bark and chocolate caramel!  Super easy to make! Especially the chocolate bark! All you need is chocolate and a mold! The caramel is slightly different, not as easy and more time consuming.  But it can be done!

Above here are my "Nuts for you" chocolate with roasted peanuts inside. So yummy and nutty, its a perfect combination!
Mini Cupcakes ♥
Chocolate cake with a chocolate ganache on top with some sprinkles of love.  Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate for today. But its Valentine's Day, everyone loves chocolate!

Cake Pops ♡
These were made from the left over chocolate cake, some cupcakes I didn't like how they turned out were crumbled into a bowl and rolled out. You can't see the lollipop sticks but they are there. Just simple piping with red melted chocolate and with the one in the middle it was piped with chocolate and topped with red sprinkles, do it quickly!  You don't want you're chocolate to harden before you top it the red sprinkles.
And lastly, chocolate chip cookies with chocolate on top. Making these cookies are super easy,  so simple but you do throw away kind of a lot of cookie to just get this perfect shape.
Using your favorite chocolate chip recipe roll out to a 1/4 thickness I use parchment paper on top of the dough to roll out easier. Get your heart shaped cookie cutter, preferably a stainless steal one. Cut shape, put in the freezer for 10 minutes or so and put in oven. Once baked, you have the option to leave as is, but I chose to cut into shape right away with the heart shape cutter. It will get hot and maybe burn, but its completely worth it!
Happy Belated Valentine's Day

Halloween

Halloween is around the corner, well October is! And that means so much!
             HALLOWEEN CAKES FOR DAYS!
Well not just cakes, but cakepops and cupcakes. And its about the best time of the year! Where you can be creative with different character's and different elements of Halloween!
Above (↑↑↑) I have some cakepops. Chocolate cake dipped in more chocolate! YUM.
Halloween colors thrown in there. They're not all the best from all the cakepops I've made. But melting chocolate with a double boiler isn't as easy than melting chocolate in a microwave, which I don't have currently,  but once I get one. You'll see the huge difference!
More Halloween Cakes To Come!
